Project Description
The Library Learning Center replaces an outdated library at the campus edge, consolidating collections into a central hub. Built as an infill and addition, it resolves key challenges like rerouting utilities, creating a pedestrian promenade, and connecting existing wings.
This new campus hub transforms the character of the existing complex, featuring a learning commons, experimental classrooms, study spaces, and a café, all centered around a dynamic atrium.
Sustainability highlights include optimized daylighting, natural ventilation, solar shading, a green roof, pervious paving, and photovoltaic panels. Local limestone and quarried stone integrate the design with its surroundings.
